Kentucky Home Life Insurance Company began as Kentucky Home Mutual Life Insurance Company, in Louisville, KY in 1936. In the 1990’s, the company merged with National Guardian Life, of Madison, WI. National Guardian organized Kentucky Home Life as a stock company subsidiary in 1998 to process their Credit Life and Disability insurance products. On January 1, 2005, Kentucky Home Life was purchased by Terry E. Forcht and Farmers Capital Bank of Frankfort. In 2009, Mr. Forcht purchased the Farmers Capital Bank share of Kentucky Home Life, and is now the sole owner of the company. Today, Kentucky Home Life Insurance Company serves policy owners through independent insurance agents in Kentucky.
